Fit Family™ Team

Fit Family Team is an 8-week outdoor fitness program focusing on youth ages 5-14. As Team Captains for your teams at home, parents are highly encouraged to sign up for the 8-week session and participate in fitness activities with their kids.
2010 SEASON
SPRING SESSION - MARCH 20 - MAY 8 (completed)
MEMBERS OF FIT FAMILY TEAM - SPRING 2010

FALL SESSION - SEPTEMBER 18 - NOVEMBER 6
(Opening Registration day June 19th at TRI-iT Festival at Truxtun Park)
- Saturdays 10:30 - 11:30am - Anne Arundel Community College upper fields
- Pricing - $120 for the first participant and $60 for each additional participant
- Fit Family Team focuses on development in the following areas:
- Cardiovascular Fitness
- Strength & Full Body Conditioning
- Agility & Speed
- Nutritional Education - Fit Family Team means you're playing on a team, with each registration you'll get a team jersey and team wristband. Each 1 hour practice is set up in 4 quarters with a special competitive activity designed for every 4th quarter. The team-building and strengthening of bonds of your team at home will be priceless. The 8-week program also includes educational components in nutrition, exercise gear and apparel, and running technique and form.
Fit Family™ Fun Run
- Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, April 25, 9:00am
- Bring the kids, bring the baby jogger, bring the kid bikes... BRING THE FUN!
- Fit Family™ Fun Run is an event for the whole family. It's 3 loops around the 1.2 mile stadium walking trail... the best part being the motivational music and cheering you'll receive with each lap!
- There will be a Kids Festival after the event including an obstacle course and face painting until 11:00am in the "Navyfest" area
- A portion of the proceeds from this race will support the "Got Your Back Network", which connects with military families who have lost a spouse or parent while serving our country. Their goal is to give comfort, answer a special need, offer guidance and bring a brighter day. Through diverse coordinated events along with one on one interaction Got Your Back Network provides the avenue for the children of the fallen to learn and be inspired by the most successful leaders of our generation. - $20 Adult ($25 after March 15th), $5 Youth that participate (<15, not including those in baby joggers), parking is included for all participants (use Gate 5) All adults receive a Turning Point Sports visor, all youth receive a wristband

Colonel Ripley Memorial Fuel 4 Life 5K – November 14, 2010, 7:30am

- Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
- Proceeds from this race support the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund which provides financial assistance and quality of life solutions for Marines, Sailors and other military personnel assigned to Marine Forces, injured in post 9-11 combat, training, or with life threatening illnesses, and their families. The fund provides relief for immediate financial needs that arise during hospitalization and recovery as well as perpetuating needs such as home modifications, customized transportation and specialized equipment.

Stadium Challenge™ Annapolis – Postponed (check back soon)
- Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
- Stadium Challenge™ Annapolis is the first race in a unique series of stadium challenge fitness events throughout the country. The Annapolis race features a dynamic 2.5 mile route starting with a perimeter run and three-station obstacle course around Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Racers will enter the stadium and complete a complex trek throughout all concourses, seating area steps, and finally finish with a sprint on the field through the south end zone tunnel and memorial arch!
- This race is an event for all ages with an emphasis on youth development and family participation. Youth have a 1 mile option which includes the perimeter run and obstacle course.
